Aquarius

Aquarius is best known in mythology as the 'Water Bearer'. Aquarius was once was, and I suppose still is known as a handsome young youth called Ganymede. He was the son of Tros, the first King of Troy and lived in Crete by Mount Ida. One day while Ganymede was working in the fields, Zeus cast his eyes upon him and immediately fell in love. He kidnapped him by turning into Aquila the Eagle and flew down, grabbed him and took him into the heavens to become the cupbearer to the Gods. The constellation known as the Crater is sometimes referred to as this cup, and after reading the mythology of this constellation, one may consider 'the cup' as the Holy Grail... the spiritual wine or elixir of the philosophers' stone. Ganymede's position was to pour wine for the Gods. Today, persons who relate to this archetype are those we see 'pouring spirit (the waters of Aquarius) on humanity.'

Scorpio

Scorpio is the gate to transformation, the right use of will, and the power to self-actualize. Its action is to create, renew, and transform, as it moves through the three stages of evolution. From the Scorpions sting (the personality- centered individual) to the Eagle's Flight, (the awakening soul) to the highest state represented by the Phoenix, (the Soul Centered individual)… one who has walked the path of extremes from the fires of hell to the fires of transformation and resurrection. Evolution is Scorpion energy… transforming matter into the next evolutionary form and stage. This is the heart of the great mystery.

Libra

At the inner point of light, where all is balanced in stillness, yet manifest in nature is Libra's challenge to equalize the scales. Libra is the point in the zodiacal sphere where one realizes the polarity of the universe. Its path is the balance or reconciliation of the pairs of opposites within us, and without in our lives. Libra is an air sign and forms a grand trine with Gemini and Aquarius. All are intellectual signs communicating within their triangle of space, Gemini gathers information, Libra socializes and counsels, weighing the positive and negative, while Aquarius transmits the information throughout the consciousness of humankind and the universe.

Leo

Lights, energy, sound, vibration…..Action. It sounds very Leo to me.

I believe this was how it all started; the heart of creation sprang forth and manifested what we know of today as our universe. This is the stuff the Music of the Spheres is made of. The planets and other space objects each vibrate at their own speed, playing their own tune to create the greatest symphony of all. This is the 'Music of the Spheres'. The first time I heard it, the music I mean, I could hardly believe my ears. I thought, so that's where Beethoven received his inspiration. That was 11 years ago and I have only heard it a few times since. It was a mystery and miracle to me and God knows I love mysteries (and miracles). So, off I went exploring into the hidden books of knowledge deep with my mind. I found a mathematical sequence, language and eventually discovered Pythagoras. Finally, someone else who loved numbers as much as I do! Pythagoras had heard the music and was perhaps the one who coined the phrase 'Music of the Spheres.' His genius had been sparked and his philosophy developed into what we know today as 'sacred geometry.' Pythagoras was a searcher for truth and his work surely shows signs of divine inspiration. He concluded the building blocks of the universe were mathematics, which also lead him to musical ratios. Johannes Kepler, astronomer, astrologer, mathematician, and philosopher, also followed Pythagoras' teachings, and more recently, Marc Edward Jones assigned a 'sabian symbol' to this sacred knowledge, namely 29°o Aries. Jones called this degree 'Music of the Spheres' and gives the meaning as 'Attunement to Cosmic order, listen to the inner voice'.

Cancer

Thousands of years ago the Ancients used the Sidereal Zodiac, which once was aligned with the Constellations, fixed stars and other heavenly bodies. As time went on, the precession of the equinoxes caused the spring equinox (the Aries point) to move backwards, thus the constellations and the zodiac looked out of alignment, as the signs no longer corresponded with the constellations. For example, the 0° Aries point has almost moved backwards to the beginning of Pisces. Today astrologers use either of these systems, sidereal, tropical, or both. The sidereal zodiac is used by Hindu and Vedic astrologers, and in recent years has become very popular in North America. It is now gaining acceptance by those who have previously used only the tropical or moving zodiac. The tropical or moving Zodiac is the one used by most astrologers in North America and in Sun Sign predictive columns, some say that western tropical astrology is better for interpretation of the personality, and sidereal is superior at prediction. Through my own research it seems to me that both are accurate depending on what you are looking at. My conclusion: the tropical zodiac is personality based, like a mask we wear until we are ready to allow the true self to emerge through the sidereal chart. The sidereal chart shows us the karmas we have inherited from our ancestors (or past lives) and the journey of the evolution of the self.

Gemini

The planet Mercury who is known as the God and/or Goddess of communication rules the sun sign Gemini. The Egyptian legend Hermes -- Thrice Great, is famous for his title as the Messenger of the Gods and belongs in the family of Mercury and Gemini. Hermes is known for his higher knowledge and specifically his treatise on the spiritual laws of the universe. There was a special annual festival held in his honour on May 15 and was associated with merchants in 495 B.C. The sun Sign Virgo is also ruled by Mercury, which is similar to Gemini in some ways, but they do always agree each other's systems of relating. What they do have in common is curiosity and an aptitude for working with their intellect. Gemini gathers the information and talks about it, while. Virgo theorizes and analyses the data, and then places it into perfectly shaped files in our minds.
