In the constellation Capricorn we enter the festive Christmas season, marking the Winter Solstice and the longest day of the year.

Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign meaning it initiates growth and accomplishment while staying grounded to the earth. Its ruling planet is

Saturn otherwise known as the Lord of Time and Earth's karmic teacher, who causes us to learn discipline, restricting us at times until we have learned our earthly lesson. It values focus, goal setting, and most importantly… to reap the results of our thoughts and actions. The law of Karma – as a man thinketh so it is, what you give out in action, returns to you in consequence; either positive or challenging. Saturn affects each of us differently, depending on the sign it was in at your birth, each sign giving us a karmic lesson and affecting the energy of the chakra associated to it.

Capricorns feel they have something to accomplish in life, they are practical, hard working, methodical and success orientated. Their symbol is the mountain goat, which is sure footed and knows that success is accomplished one step at a time with a steady climb to the top. They are interested in business, government, goods of the earth, real estate, and make excellent executives. At times they can be overly serious, workaholics, and may feel a touch of melancholy; a trait bestowed to them by Saturn.

Because Capricorn is an earth sign, it takes on some of the similar traits to the other earth signs, such as Virgo's organization, and conscientious personality, as well as Taurus's need for security and a desire for financial freedom.

December 21 – Winter Solstice – the Sun enters Capricorn, moon in Capricorn is snuggling next to Venus, but is practical, friends have a positive influence, and intuition is keen.

December 22 – Moon in Aquarius – friends, groups, the future, insight, electrical energy, freedom, sudden events, wishes

December 23 – Moon in Aquarius in harmony, love, good luck, travel, mediation, insight

December 24 – early morning can have a brief disruption on your relationships, but moon enters Pisces later in the day, better for communication

December 25 – Merry Christmas – Moon in Pisces, positive and generous moods, unexpected events and surprises!

December 26 – Moon enter Aries later in the day, a more aggressive tone for the next day or two. Start new projects.

December 27 – Moon in Aries – Jupiter brings a good mood, spiritual thoughts,

Take action. Mercury enters Capricorn – Gemini's and Virgos may feel heaviness to their communication and are focused on career, goals.

December 28 – Moon in Aries - a day for action, intense feelings, mostly good, some challenging in the morning.

December 29 – Moon in Taurus – have company for dinner, family, friends, thoughts of love and what is important to you, if you're shopping today, you may splurge!

December 30 – Moon in Taurus – a tense day for love, learn to compromise, stubbornness does not pay off today, seek harmony.

December 31 – New Years Eve – moon in Gemini – you have options, a good night for social activities; the moon is great aspect to relationships, and Libra activities. Be careful on the roads, don't drink and drive, and have fun!

January 1 – 2007 - Happy New Year – This is a ‘nine' year, which globally means there will be endings of scenario's, and thought will go into our spiritual selves, and where we are headed as a global community. A time to reflect and set goals for our future. Moon in Gemini with conflict, and sudden unexpected events, but later in the day we find resolution.

January 2 – moon in Cancer – a time to reflect on the choices we have made in the past, family and care giving is in the air. Intense emotions today.

January 3 – Full moon in Cancer – This looks like a pretty good day, the moon is dancing with the fixed star Sirius – the star of spiritual initiation, a time to reflect and meditate on what has appeared in your life for the past day or two and your goals for the future. A full moon brings our thoughts and actions to bear fruit. Venus enters Aquarius – love is flowing for the air signs – Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

January 4 – Moon in Leo – love is in the air – you may meet someone new – unexpectedly, or from friends, someone younger than you.

January 5 – Moon in Leo, fun, love, children, and luck at the lotteries or Casino's for fire signs, Leo, Sagittarius and Aries.

January 6 – Moon in Leo – Moon enter Virgo later in the evening, responsibility, organizing, health is in the spotlight

January 7 – Moon in Virgo – good communication, pleasant feelings, surprises

January 8 – Moon in Virgo – unexpected emotions and events, harmony during the day, intense in later evening, Virgo rules health, work, communication, organization and pets

January 9 – Moon enters Libra – relationships, social act ivies, legal documents and advising, the courts, counselling – an intense day, dealing with family, the past, women, money issues, sexual relationships.

January 10 – Moon in Libra – a Great day, the moon is in extreme harmony, love, luck, spirituality, writing, psychological insight.

January 11 – Moon in Libra and enters Scorpio at 11:08 pm PST . The moon is busy today, visiting and talking up a storm with lots of planets. It will be a day of setting things straight, and coming to a resolution.

January 12 – Moon in Scorpio – a pleasant day – love and sex – a bit tense at 9 - 10 pm (PST) – but resolved by 11

January 13 – Moon in Scorpio – the moon can't make up its mood today – it's up/down and reflective. An intense dream throughout the night, feelings of uneasiness, like something is not right, feeling good physically, but a hint of a somber mood.

January 14 – Moon enters the happy and good luck sign Sagittarius. Easy communication. Good for travel.

January 15 – Moon in Sagittarius – Mercury enters Aquarius – harmony with friends, groups, travel, and education faculty's, generous and loving moods.

January 16 – Moon in Sagittarius and moves into Capricorn at 6 pm PST, giving a more serious tone to our moods, Good for business, organization, good for work related projects. Moods are intense and conflicting from late afternoon PST

January 17 – Moon in Capricorn – mood changes to happy by mid afternoon

January 18 – Moon in Capricorn – New Moon Phase - a time to set goals for the next full moon manifestation. What would you like to accomplish by next full moon? A day of dreamy love thoughts, and the need to help others. Selfless love and caring.

January 19 – Moon in Aquarius – exciting new ideas, friends, hopes, wishes, a great day for travel, or book those tickets for your winter holiday.

January 20 – Moon in Aquarius – and the Sun enters Aquarius at 3:01 am PST

The Moon in the Signs

Aries - emotional, courageous, impulsive, sudden flare-ups of temper, emotions are up and down, independent, adventurous spirit, dominating, needs to learn to be quiet.

Taurus - steady, common sense, emotions balanced, patient, sensual, likes' material, financial security, can be stubborn, possessive, and affectionate

Gemini -vacillating, excessive talking, restless, fidgety, quick wittedness Good thinking, communicates, not sure of feelings, not over-emotional

Cancer - moody at times, depending on what sign the moon is in, is sensitive, has intensity of feeling, being by water helps soothe them, patient, kind, sentimental, caring, maternal, family is important

Leo- needs attention, very loving, likes to be admired, dramatize their feelings, need romance, happy dispositions, and are kind, loyal, and generous
